Your Membership Makes a Difference
The USF Institute for Research in Art receives only partial support for its programs through the University of South Florida, College of Visual & Performing Arts. The dedication and generosity of our members, in partnership with the University, enables the Institute for Research in Art to remain a leading arts organization in Florida that will continue to initiate first-rate research, exhibitions and projects involving artists from around the world, and contribute to the cultural vitality of the University and the Tampa Bay community.

The USF Institute for Research in Art is the umbrella organization for the Contemporary Art Museum, Graphicstudio and Public Art program. Part of the University of South Florida College of Visual & Performing Arts, the IRA is dedicated to an international artists’ residency program that brings to the University and Tampa Bay community today’s most accomplished and influential artists working in the international art arena. Exhibitions, collection development, publication of limited edition graphics and sculpture multiples, commissioned public art works, lectures, symposia, workshops and special events are designed to foster awareness about the role of contemporary artists in shaping our culture and society. Participating artists represent the full and diverse spectrum of contemporary art practice including, but not limited to, painting, sculpture, photography, electronic media, and performance.

Particiation Opportunities

USFCAM Collectors Events
Starting a contemporary art collection is exciting but can be challenging and frustrating. How do you decide what to collect and why? How can you balance personal taste with history or desirability with price? And, most importantly, how do you navigate your way around an art world that is at once intimate yet increasingly international?

Margaret Miller, Director of the USF Institute for Research in Art, annually teams with first-class restaurants, wine experts, chefs, and arts professionals to design a series of exciting, edifying and entertaining evenings to enhance your appreciation of fine wine and cuisine, and your enjoyment and understanding of contemporary art and collecting.

For more information on attending the Collectors Events, contact Randall West at
(813) 974-3503.

USFCAM Corporate Partnership Program
Corporate members of the USF Contemporary Art Museum are eligible to participate in our Corporate Art Bank Loan Program. Selected works from the University of South Florida art collection or exhibitions curated for other venues are made available to corporate partners on long-term loan for exhibition.

For more information on becoming a USFCAM Corporate Partner, contact Peter Foe at (813) 974-4332.

Graphicstudio Subscription Program
Graphicstudio, the University of South Florida's renowned art workshop, offers a Subscription Program to Patrons who wish to acquire distinctive impressions of contemporary print and sculpture multiples for their collections, by internationally leading contemporary artists, at excellent values.

The Subscription Program requires a $7,000 initial membership fee for each period, which is generally one year. During the subscription period, six offerings of artworks will be made available for purchase at $500 each (plus tax if applicable). Graphicstudio subscriptions may be shared by two parties; both will receive Graphicstudio privileges. The initial fee ($7,000) plus the cost of the six projects ($3,000) brings the total to $10,000 plus tax (if applicable) to fully participate in the Graphicstudio Subscription Program.

Please call Kristin Soderqvist at (813) 974-3503 for more information.
